Event importance

High, medium or low: how broadly a scheduled release usually moves markets.

How to read it

High — repricing across asset classes is normal: index futures, the yield curve and the dollar move together. Medium — moves its own market and feeds the next high-importance print. Low — watched by specialists, usually inside the day's noise.

How to use it

Know which mornings carry event risk for the whole portfolio rather than one position.

Limitations

A standing classification per release, not a forecast of how this particular print will land.
