Formula
Buy only: grow the book to V* = max(valueᵢ ÷ targetᵢ) and buy each holding up to targetᵢ × V* Sell only: shrink to min(valueᵢ ÷ targetᵢ) and release the rest as cash
How to read it
A position within 1 percentage point of its target is left alone by default.
How to use it
Arithmetic on your own targets, with no opinion in it. Buy-only answers what it would cost to reach the targets with new money and no sales.
Limitations
Ignores taxes and trading costs; the targets are yours, and the tool does not suggest any.
