A break above the opening range on strong volume is a classic intraday long trigger; below it, short.
How to use it
Draws the session's first battle lines; many intraday strategies trade the break.
Limitations
Intraday bars only; the range is not drawn until it has formed.

Market · Radar. The first 15 minutes of the regular session; the Opening-range break scan lists stocks trading beyond it on relative volume of 1.2 or more.
